LAVROC CAYUMA "THE INFERNO" RIDE

Santa Monica to Ojai to Cayuma to Pismo Beach to Santa Barbara to Ventura then home.

Riders: Jesus, Todd, Eric, Allan and me (George) I rode with Jesus from LaVerne to Los Angeles to pick up Patti. Then we met Todd and Eric at Cafe 50s in Santa Monica for breakfast. We then took the 405 North to the 101 West/North to the 23 North to Fillmore. We took the 126 to Santa Paula and headed North on the 150 to Ojai. We stopped at the Deer Lodge Inn to meet Allan. After a little while we headed North on the 33 all the way to New Cayuma. That was a long hot ride. We stopped at a Gas Station to cool off and have a drink of water. After a while we continued on the 166 West all the way to Santa Maria where we stopped again for gas and water. We continued on the 101 to Pismo Beach where we stopped for lunch at Old Juan's Cantina, very good by the way. After Pismo we took the 1 all the way to Lompoc, which was a very scenic ride. We rode through the town of Guadalupe and ended up on the 101 just North of the tunnel before hitting the coast. Well we hoped to get some relief from the heat once we were by the ocean, but no luck. There was probably 30 seconds of cool air the rest was 90 plus degree heat. Well all we could do is slab it home down the 101 Stopping in Santa Barbara to have a cool drink and say bye to Allan. The ride home was hot... too hot. See you all next time.
